Don't like names or initials especially & have seen things like W8NGA (wonga) which are just crass IMHO, but plates related to the car generally OK.

Mine below

It was £499 from DVLA so hardly broke the bank.

Looks good Andy, I do like the german style plate, works well with that format of numbers

Cheers Paul

The plates are from EU tags. Not cheap, but strong enough (pressed metal) to save one from the worst effects of a brush with the armco

He's not allowed to sell the Porsche carriers anymore though - they got all heavy about copyright.

I have owned a couple now my favourite being S2000 RR on my old S. I have to say though that I havent bothered with the 911 as its such a lovely car any way. Id rather spend the 399 (is that the DVLA minmum now) towards a sports exhaust or rear strut brace etc

Yes, and that was during a "dry" period during this years trip in early June.

I saw a great plate - but on an old C-class Merc that's parked at a Solicitor's practice near where I work: 'P1 KYE'

Would look pretty cool on a supercar!

i,ve got 4 plates now all 2 numbers and my initials after ?? KL and think there great put the finishing touch to the cars but not into them when you need to change the letter's to look like somthing it's not and they hold there value or buy wise like me you can make a tidy profit from them

When you say make a tidy profit how did you come about the plates?

I often saw on regtransfer and the like 2 numbers and a letter all above 12k but they were selling on the dvla auction from 6k to 7k tops(highish numbers mind). So when i saw a plate of interest to me come up on the auction I bid for it and and got it. So say i paid 6.5k for the plate plus fees and vat the plate actually cost nearer 9k. So yeah i could also say iv made a tidy profit on that plate but in reality i haven't as i couldn't sell the plate for the 13k that regtransfer say its worth because no one buys them. I haven't lost money but i certainly havent made either.

There's a fore instance - 911 GM was sold at the DVLA auction last Dec for £10900. RegTransfers plus others have it for sale at c£24K
Now that is taking the p@ss!

My plate's personal to me - initials and 3 D(aughters)!
