Hello guys, my dad has just got himself a 996 which he will be picking up on Saturday, I was wondering what sort of reasonably priced Porsche stuff I could get for him to go with his car for his 60th birthday? We thought about a personalised plate but the ones with his initials are far too expensive - c £1000.
Any reasonably priced ideas are welcome.

SoliD What about sending him to the Stuttgart factory and museum! Some stunning machinery on offer in both locations, and the dealership opposite isnt too shabby either! My Mrs did this for my birthday last year - I also got a Porsche rucksack and overnight bag so as I looked proper sad when we checked in to the hotel

Lots of stiff in the tequipment catalogue.
How about an umbrella that fits in the side pocket?
Some nice jeyrings in the catalogue as well.
A decent valeting kit.

Has anyone got a link to somewhere I can buy the Porsche fridge magnets? I believe there are Cayenne and GT3 sets available but I can't see them on the Porsche Driver Selection website.
They're for the kids, honest!!

I got the umbrella and a Total 911 Subscription for xmas and was quite happy with that - since it's his 60th though, how about a trip to Silverstone for the Porsche Driving Centre?

If he enjoys cleaning and polishing his cars as well as driving them you could get him a Zymol starter kit. If you want to get him some Porsche branded stuff I can recommend the wallets. I have just had to get a new one, but the last one lasted 12 years - which is pretty good going!

What are your Dads initials? My friend sells number plates so should be able to get you a PH discount if there was one that matched!

Cheers for the replies, I was thinking along the lines of 1 ring lap ticket + museum ticket as I said I would go round Europe with him if/when he eventually got one. I have suggested driving day to my mum, but I think at his age its more just to satisfy his lifelong dream of owning a 911 rather than driving it hard at all. Got all the trickle charger stuff already. Would like it to be something that he would remember rather than being junk. P.S the car comes with the porsche umbrella  Also his initials are DJM or DMM. Would ideally want single number reg. But very little available.

You need the fridge magnets! Little detailed models of Porsches for fridge door racing - only a few quid each from any Porsche main dealer. I've taken to moving my ones round the kitchen now, they go well on the bread bin, the toaster, the tea and coffe decanters and the side of the cooker Look at some here
