What do you guys think: http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl/popup.jsp?cur...I think this has been reduced from 15k to 12,980. I noticed the left rear indicators broken. I wonder if it's been in any accidents. I'm not a cab person, but if the 911 drives beautifully then i'll buy it cab or no cab.

Quite a pretty thing, but why would anyone photagraph and advertise a car without first fixing something as simple and obvious as a broken lens, that's just shoddy, makes you wonder if there's anything else they 'can't be bothered' to fix!

What do you think about the 130k on the clock. Seems quite a lot, or is this quite normal and nothing to worry about?

wouldn't worry too much about 130k on clock , the car is 22 years old and if it has been looked after should have a boat load of paperwork with it to confirms works done through its lifetime

Russ and Si race a 165,000 mile 3.2 Carrera in the C&SCC Future Classics Series and have done so for two years. Your bigger concern is corrosion but get all checked just in case. Another chap has a 1989 3.2 Carrera with over 270,000 miles on the clock which he has owned from new and has never been garaged. It runs well but does smoke. Certainly needs a top end rebuild and the body work has started to suffer. Probably needs £20K thrown at it to make it new. Less than 1K per year of ownership.

Hardly any rust, the paintwork is pitted at the front and underside, but that's expected. The only place i could see rust is the metal light cover. Which the dealer has a replacement for. The impressive thing about the car was the mountain of paperwork that it comes with. Only issue i have with the car is what's highlighted that the rollbar is damaged. No indication of it ever being in an accident that i could see. Don't like the colour but seems like a good solid car. Can't wait to test drive it. Has any one driven the car and coupe? How do they compare?

Has any one driven the car and coupe? How do they compare? Loads of paperwork is great news. What do you mean by 'pitted' paintwork? What rollbar is damaged? Cabs don't have a roll-over bar - do you mean anti-roll bar? Painting the wheel centres black will really help the look of the car.

Has any one driven the car and coupe? How do they compare? Loads of paperwork is great news. Most of it is from Autofarm What do you mean by 'pitted' paintwork? Hard to explain when i run my hands over you can feel small groves, but the paint is intact. What rollbar is damaged? Cabs don't have a roll-over bar - do you mean anti-roll bar? Yes, sorry that's it. Anti roll bar was welded and fixed by autofarm in 2007, and in 2006 (i think) it was identified. Painting the wheel centres black will really help the look of the car.

The "newer 964" you have listing looks like its a tip also, so you may want to ditch that as well. Whats your budget and what are you wanting from the car?

I think i'm going to go for a 964 C2 and spend around 15k to get a decent one. Or failing that i'll be going for the older lighter C 3.2

964 is an excellent choice. Mine still makes me smile after 9 years.

In particular a lovely silver on in VMAX PH forum (The threads called 300 pics or something). I just need to find a few to test drive in Glasgow They all seem to be down south.

yep that car was absolutely tip top, 3.2 SSE, I despoilered it (and no it didnt make a huge diff to the handling/stability). It was pretty quick for an old car too. Made a few otehr subtle mods, still miss it.
