Off on our jaunt around Europe for school holidays again in the Chrysler.

Last year took AA cover as left it to the last minute and it was not cheap nor very flexible!

Anyone recommend anyone else that gives good cover at a decent price and is maybe flexible in actually using other cars also and not just covering one? (for when the porkers go on jaunts too?)

when I booked the tunnel crossing for classic le mand I added their breakdown cover. Seemed very reasonable

I don't think AA cover is too bad. I think it's about £90 for a year, and you can keep swapping cars. You also have to add another £60 on, but only once per year, if your cars are over ten or perhaps it's fifteen years old. Having said that, never actually had to call them out. Nice to have it though, after enduring the disbelief and derision of the depannage man who charged me about £300 a few years back, for towing me what seemed like about eight feet.

why pay the AA £90 or more when unlimited worldwide travel cover with ADAC is €80? if you have a breakdown in the UK then ADAC send the AA. tried and tested. twice.

there's some info here: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c...

Well looks like i'll definitely be going with ADAC at renewal next June.

Unfortunately already have UK cover with the AA and they refund you nothing if you cancel it. frown

Have stand alone cover with Classicline for the RSR going to Classic Le Mans and they won't let you change the car that is covered. frown

So will reluctantly have to buy a THIRD breakdown policy for going away next week frownfrownfrown

Next year its ADAC....

Also used it several times in the UK (via the AA).

They also recover off the Nordschlieffe (for free). Used this facility about 5 or 6 times as well over the years.

PS AGTLaw - due to some of the points on your website, I sent a letter to the technical underwriters at my insurers, who have agreed to cover me 1st party for the NS! cheers!
