Just had the warning light on now to tell me my rear pads need changing.

I've had the car 50 days and done 1136 miles (Cars now done 46177). Bought from a reputable prestige dealer, but no warranty as such. Is this something the dealer should replace as I've only had the car a short time?

Already worried about this:

The car is going to the dealers chosen garage tomorrow to be looked at for the problems in the thread above, but this has just happened on the way home.

Not having a great 1st experience at the moment.

Not going to name then at the moment, as I think they have to be given a chance to rectify things. They did sort out an aircon problem (regassing in the end) after 7 days without any fuss whatsoever.

Hi,

If a garage has been advised that the brake pad light will be on in next few weeks/months and they decided not to put it right then what does that say about them ?

It is something that the customer is going to notice, not like a weeping rear main seal or something that you are not going to notice till service or MOT time, as some traders will leave as they will get away with it because by the time you realise you have had the car far too long to complain.

It should of been replaced before sale in my opinion.

We have just prepared a 993 C2S which will be on sale in the next few weeks and have spent over £5K on it ! Maybe it is because we don't sell cars but fix them ? I just want the car 100% right so the end user is 100% happy as we are.

Mike
